President Al-Zubaidi inaugurates the consultative meeting of the southern political components

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, on Thursday, inaugurated the consultative meeting of the southern political components and parties and civil society organizations, which is held in the capital, Aden, during the period 4-7 May, under the slogan “For a New South that embodies the aspirations of the people of the South for independence and the restoration of the independent federal state of the South”.

During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi delivered a speech in which he welcomed all those present from the various southern political components and parties, led by Major General Mahmoud Al-Subaihi, the former Minister of Defense, indicating that the inauguration of this meeting from the capital of the South, Aden, is a new era of struggle in which the participants will lay another brick in the foundation for strengthening the unity of the southern ranks, to confirm that dialogue is a civilized means to resolve issues and to end political differences.

President Al-Zubaidi stressed that the convening of this meeting coincides with the sixth anniversary of the historic Aden Declaration, and is considered a clear embodiment of everyone’s commitment to what was expressed by the southern popular will on that historic day by establishing a political entity to manage the affairs of the South in order to achieve the goal of restoring the state on the basis of the South for all and all its people. .

During his speech, President Al-Zubaidi expressed his thanks and appreciation for the great efforts made by the Southern National Dialogue team at home and abroad, through the long marathon of meetings and discussions with the various southern national components that melted the ice and achieved consensus on most issues and dissertations, stressing that the Southern Transitional Council, since its establishment, has pursued dialogue and committed itself to it and will continue to do so in order to create a partnership with all political forces and components to defend the rights of the southern people and protect their gains.

President Al-Zubaidi also affirmed that the Transitional Council, in order to establish a solid institutional structure to carry the goals of our southern people, manage their affairs and achieve their aspirations, worked to develop and modernize the organizational structure and institutional building, expand the Council’s bodies and involve everyone in national action.

In his speech, President Al-Zubaidi referred to the security and stability achieved in the various governorates of the South, expressing thanks to the steadfastness of the southern armed forces, reiterating the covenant that they will remain the focus of his attention and care, and every effort and potential will be worked to develop their capabilities and skills, as they are the support of the South and its impenetrable fence.

President Al-Zubaidi touched on the developments of the political process and the efforts of the international community to stop the war and start a comprehensive settlement, reiterating the position of the Transitional Council in support of the efforts of the brothers in the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and the international community aimed at stopping the war and establishing peace, stressing that the most important conditions The Council’s involvement in the partnership process emanating from the Riyadh agreement and consultations is to address the economic situation, improve living conditions, and provide basic services in the liberated southern governorates.

At the end of his speech, President Al-Zubaidi wished success to the participants in the meeting, hoping that he would come out with hoped-for results that would rise to the level of the aspirations of the people of the south and keep pace with the challenges of the present and the requirements of the future.

For his part, Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Hajj, head of the internal southern national dialogue team, delivered a speech in which he welcomed President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi and all those present, explaining that reaching this historic moment in the life of our southern people today was not easy and the road was not clear so that we could meet in such a patriotic scene full of Lessons and achievements.

Al-Hajj pointed out that the vision of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi has put us in front of the challenges of reality in our southern homeland through his taking the historic national decision to launch the southern national dialogue two years ago with all the components and national forces in the land of the south or that were forced to stay outside the homeland, and many meetings were held. Internally and externally, this culminated in the completion of the dialogue stations carried out by President Al-Zubaidi’s decision to form two teams for the internal and external southern national dialogue.

Al-Hajj stressed that the dialogue team was keen to involve everyone in this national mission and exerted its utmost effort with all the southern parties to be present strongly in these days, and the response came with the height of the importance of this great southern country, as the number of delegates reached (270) participants from all Southern forces, pointing out that the dialogue team is still opening its heart to everyone without exception for positive engagement with the national project for the people of the south and building a southern consensus and alignment, hoping that it will be crowned with success by everyone on the Southern National Pact.

Al-Hajj added that the national task entrusted today is the responsibility of the selected elites from all the southern political, partisan and societal forces and components that meet at this difficult stage in the history of the struggle of our people, who provided convoys of martyrs, wounded and detainees during the years of the southern movement and in all the turns that threw their weight and increased the suffering Our people, pointing out that all these complications came to establish a new stage in facing the challenges and the entitlements of the next stage.

The meeting, which was held with wide participation from the various spectrums and political components of the southern people at home and abroad, began with verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the southern national anthem, and standing a minute of mourning for the souls of the martyrs of the south. A theatrical sketch was shown during the meeting, in which a number of Buds of the South, a paragraph that expressed the importance of the culture of dialogue and defense of the cause of the south and the hopes and aspirations of its people represented in restoring the independent federal state.

In the second session of the first day of the consultative meeting, the documents for the meeting that will be discussed were distributed, as the mechanism for managing this meeting was discussed during the days of its convening, which will last for four days in a row.
