President Al-Zubaidi Inspects Work Progress of College of Education, Humanities, and Applied Sciences Project in Socotra

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), inspected on Tuesday the progress of the project to establish the College of Education, Humanities, and Applied Sciences in the Socotra Archipelago Governorate, which is funded by the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD).

During the inspection visit, President Al-Zubaidi, accompanied by Socotra Archipelago Governor Eng. Ra’afat Al-Thaqali, several ministers, and senior leaders of the STC, received a detailed briefing from Eng. Mustafa Sharif Al-Yamani, the representative of the consulting firm overseeing the project, who outlined the various implementation phases, the key components of the college, which will be constructed on a total area of 19,000 square meters, as well as the specified timeline for the project’s completion.

In the same context, the President was briefed by engineers from the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) on the range of developmental projects being implemented by the program across various areas of the archipelago, encompassing different sectors.

President Al-Zubaidi highly appreciated the projects provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the SDRPY, for residents of the Socotra Archipelago Governorate, highlighting that these projects reflect the depth of the historical relations with Saudi Arabia and play a pivotal role in driving sustainable development across the archipelago.
