President Al-Zubaidi meets German ambassador stressing concessions for peace and deterring arrogance of the militias

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Deputy Head of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) has affirmed that the PLC made many concessions to preserve peace opportunities while the Houthi militias continued their intransigence and declined all regional and international initiatives to cease the war and establish peace.
In the meeting on Tuesday, at his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Yemen, H.E. Mr. Hubert Jaeger, the President affirmed that it is high time to deter the arrogance of these militias, to expose them and put an end to their provocative practices.
During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi renewed his request for the regional and international communities to take a firm position on the new escalation of the Houthi militias after their rejection of the initiatives to extend the truce, emphasizing that the militias are continuing to mobilize and clash on a number of frontlines, which confirms their ill-intentions towards escalation.
The meeting discussed the role of the friendly Federal Germany to cease the war and push for peace efforts in the region, and ways to enhance relief and humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of our people, as well as supporting development projects in the capital, Aden, and the liberated governorates.
For his part, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany affirmed his country’s stance in supporting the truce extension and the endeavours of the UN Special Envoy to reach a comprehensive political settlement, in addition to the commitment of his country to back the PLC as the internationally recognized authority, and its assistance to the power-sharing government to stabilize the situation and revive the economy.
Likewise, the German ambassador renewed his country’s pledge to intensify its humanitarian aid in the sectors of health, education, technical and vocational education, and agriculture, in both the capital, Aden, and the liberated governorates.
