President Al-Zubaidi Meets with Head of the Supreme Military and Security Committee; Major General Haitham Qassem Taher

The president Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, Deputy head of the Presidential Leadership Council, on Thursday, at the presidential palace in Ma’asheeq in the capital Aden, met Major General Haitham Qassem Taher, head of the Supreme Military and Security Committee.

In the meeting, the president Al-Zubaidi was briefed by Major General Haitham Qassem on what had been accomplished in terms of forming the teams emanating from the supreme committee; specificity of each team and distributing tasks within the committee, as well as the plans and mechanisms organizing its work.

In the meeting, the president stressed the importance of the Military and Security Committee to begin performing its work as soon as possible, and to accomplish its assigned tasks in arranging and organizing the military forces, reaffirming the support of the leadership of Presidential Council to the Committee to be able to perfectly conduct its tasks.

For his part, Major General Haitham Qassem Taher expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the president Al-Zubaidi for his efforts in supporting command of the Military and Security Committee and keenness on its success, noting that this command of the Committee had made immense strides in establishing the administrative structure, preparing plans and mechanisms that are organizing its work and forming dedicated teams.

The meeting was attended by Brigadier General Hussein Al-Hayal, Rapporteur of the Supreme Military and Security Committee.
