President Al-Zubaidi met the Prime Minster and stresses reviving economy and improving services as an urgent priority

The President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, received in his office in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on Sunday evening, the Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdul Malik Saeed.

During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi got briefed by the Prime Minister on the latest developments in the humanitarian and economic situation in the capital, Aden, and the liberated governorates, in light of the economic crisis that our country is experiencing as a result of the war.

President Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of reviving the economy, improving services and developing urgent solutions to stop the accelerating collapse of the local currency, noting that this is an urgent priority on the table of the new presidential leadership, and the government, in which everyone should assume their responsibilities to implement real and tangible reforms that urgently alleviate the suffering of the people.

President Al-Zubaidi stressed the need to pay more attention to the capital, Aden, as it is the country’s capital and the window to the world and region, noting that this requires making the utmost efforts to improve services in it and start its reconstruction in line with the role it will play in the coming days.

President Al-Zubaidi discussed with the Prime Minister, ways and mechanisms to address the electricity crisis in the liberated governorates, especially the capital Aden and Hadhramout governorate.

For his part, the Prime Minister offered congratulations and blessings to President Al-Zubaidi on the occasion of the formation of the Presidential Leadership Council and the success of the Riyadh consultations, reiterating his government’s readiness to carry out all the executive tasks assigned to it by the leadership of the Presidential Leadership Council.
