President Al-Zubaidi Pays Visit to Check on Health of MG Ahmed Obaid

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), visited Major General Ahmed Salem Obaid at his home in the capital, Aden, on Saturday to check on his health.
The visit was attended by Mr. Moamen Al-Saqqaf, a member of the STC’s Presidium and head of the Local Leadership Executive Body (LLEB) of the STC in the capital, Aden. During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi praised Major General Obaid for his pivotal role in resisting occupation and his efforts in establishing the foundations of the Southern Army following national independence on November 30, 1967. His Excellency also commended Obaid’s notable contributions throughout his distinguished career, marked by unwavering dedication and the lasting impact of his public service.
President Al-Zubaidi emphasized that national figures like Major General Obaid symbolize resilience and an unyielding spirit, which the South takes great pride in, reaffirming that their sacrifices will remain etched in the memory of future generations, and wished Obaid continued happiness, longevity, and good health.
For his part, Major General Obaid expressed his profound gratitude for the visit, describing it as a reflection of the loyalty and appreciation for the local leaders, who have dedicated their lives to the homeland, and hoped President Al-Zubaidi all success and wisdom in carrying out his immense national responsibilities.
