President Al-Zubaidi Receives Delegation from Shabwa Governorate

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the president of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Deputy Head of the Presidential Leadership Council(PLC), on Monday, received in the STC’s headquarters, in the capital, Aden, a delegation from the people of Shabwa governorate, which included officials in the local authority, military and security officers, businessmen, academicians, dignitaries, notables and social figures.

At the beginning of the meeting, the president Al-Zubaidi welcomed the people of Shabwa, lauding the ultimate sacrifices that have been made by the governorate throughout the southern revolution in the past and present, the immense contributions of its people and their proactive presence in state institutions in various fields, and the national role of its tribes in defending the South and safeguarding the gains of its revolution in all the different stages.

President Al-Zubaidi called on all the people of Shabwa to have more cohesion and solidarity and to stand united by the local authority in the governorate, represented by Governor Sheikh Awad Ben Al-Wazir Al-Awlaqi against whoever tries to target the security and stability of the governorate, affirming that Shabwa has been, and will definitely remain the previous stone

and lung-like to the South, as well as it is the solid rock on which all hatched conspiracies targeting the South and its security, and stability are shattered.

The president listened from the attendees to a satisfied explanation of the latest developments in the Shabwa, and the concerns of its people, in addition to a set of issues and demands that cause suffering and distress to the people of the governorate, and ways that could contribute to solve such difficulties and challenges.
