President Al-Zubaidi Receives Representatives of Shabwa in the Assembly and the Advisors

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), received on Thursday evening representatives of Shabwa Governorate in the National Assembly and the Advisory Council who participated in the founding meeting of the House of Commons.

In the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by members of the STC’s Presidium, Mr. Mohammad Al-Ghaithi, Brigadier General Ali Al-Jabwani, Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, Head of the Auxiliary Political Commission, and Mr. Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, Head of the National Southern Media Authority (NSMA), President Al-Zubaidi expressed his appreciation for the great keenness shown by Shabwa representatives in the National Assembly and the Advisory Council for the success of the founding meeting of the House of Commons, highlighting that this reflects the high national spirit distinguished by the people of Shabwa during all the turns of the Southern liberal revolution.

The President reiterated that Shabwa enjoys special status over other governorates, as it is the flank of the South, its strategic depth, and its economic center, pointing out that he was keen to meet with this selected elite of Shabwah people to get a closer look at the challenges and difficulties facing the people of Shabwah and to put them at the top of the priorities in the work program of the leadership of the council during the next stage.

The President listened to a comprehensive explanation from the attendees about the developments in the situation in Shabwa Governorate, the difficulties and challenges facing the people of Shabwa, and the ways to solve them. In this context, the President stressed the importance of concerted efforts, coordinating with the local authority, the security services, and the local leadership executive bodies (LLEB) of the STC in the downtown of the governorate and its districts, and working in a team spirit for the public interest of the governorate and serving its people.

At the end of the meeting, the attendees congratulated President Al-Zubaidi on the grand success of holding the founding meeting of the House of Commons, the first session of the National Assembly for the year 2024, and the institutional meeting of the Council of Advisors, renewing their coalescing around the leadership of the STC until restoring the full sovereignty of the state of the South.
