President Al-Zubaidi: The efforts of the southern expatriate are pillar of our people’s struggles

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, stressed that the efforts of the southern expatriates are an essential pillar of the struggles of the people of the south, and their aspirations to restore their full sovereignty independent state.

This came during the meeting of the President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, on Saturday, with a group of leaders of the southern community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Arab Gulf states, at the Transitional Council’s headquarters in the capital, Aden.

President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi valued the great continuous efforts of the community to support the cause of the people of the south, and the southern armed forces on the fighting fronts, since the start of the Southern Movement on 7/7/2007 until today, whether at the political, media, moral, or financial levels.

President Al-Zubaidi praised the pivotal role played by the southern expatriates in all the stages and turns that the south and the Southern Transitional Council went through, as well as their great role in supporting the peaceful southern movement and the armed struggle, during which they played pioneering roles that history will record in its golden pages.

President Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of enhancing joint coordination, and the need to continue the struggle role, to unite, and to put in place a specific mechanism to meet the aspirations of the people of the south.

President Al-Zubaidi pointed out that the south is going through a fateful stage, proving its existence, noting that the issue of the south has become a regionally and internationally recognized issue, especially after the signing of the Riyadh Agreement under the auspices of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and with Arab and international support, in contrast to the past, stressing that the restoration of the state of the south is around the corner.

The leaders of the southern community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Arab Gulf states expressed their thanks to President Al-Zubaidi, for this opportunity to meet him, offering their blessing for the success of the fourth session of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council.

The leaders of the southern community spoke about the most important various issues of concern to the citizens at home and abroad, appreciating all the wise steps taken by President al-Zubaidi since Aden historic declaration, which restored the hope of the South in a free and honest leadership, as well as the international moves made by the leaders of the Council aimed to fulfill the aspirations of the people of the south.

The leaders of the southern community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Arab Gulf states affirmed their full readiness to stand with all their capabilities and competencies alongside the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council, noting that the community will work to form a working team for continuous communication with the council to contribute to the success of the council’s march in achieving the national goals of the people of the south, in addition to implementing all plans and programs of the Council abroad, and supporting its various activities.

The community leaders also reviewed some ideas, and proposals, including the community’s willingness to dialogue with any southern components, and benefit from the cadres of the community in solving some problems such as improving the electricity service that the capital Aden suffers from, as well as activating the Department of Expatriate Affairs to alleviate the conditions of returnees to the southern homeland due to the process of displacement .

At the end of the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi responded to all ideas, suggestions, and interventions, and answered the inquiries raised transparently.

President Al-Zubaidi noted that the Council will work by all means to find effective solutions to all the problems facing the south, stressing that the south needs all the national competencies that were absent due to forced displacement, hoping that they will transfer the experiences and knowledge they gained in from countries abroad to the homeland to contribute in building the country and its institutions and rehabilitating its youth, in order to serve the future federal state of the south.
