President of STC issues Resolution No. (5) of 2023 regarding the formation of Council of Advisors in the STC

The President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), on Monday, May 8, 2023, issued Resolution No. (5) of 2023 regarding the formation of the Council of Advisors of the Southern Transitional Council.

The first article of it stipulates the formation of the Council of Advisors of the Southern Transitional Council, and it is considered a central advisory body to the President of the STC, the Presidency and its central bodies; The second legislative chamber of the STC, along with the National Assembly, is the first legislative chamber of the STC.

The resoltion included the formation of the Council of Advisors with 392 members, including the candidates of the components that announced their joining the Southern Transitional Council in light of the results of the national consultative meeting of the southern political components and parties held during May 4-7, 2023.

And they are as follows:

Supreme Council of the Southern Revolutionary Movement.

Components of the Supreme Council for the Revolutionary Movement for the Liberation and Independence of the South.

Peaceful Southern Movement Council.

Article 3: To appoint a chairman, deputy and assistants to the chairman of the Advisory Council, by a decision issued by the President of the Transitional Council, and the Council’s rapporteur and members of its administrative body (chairmen of committees) and its members are elected in the first session of the Council.

Article 4 of the resolution stipulates adding whoever the President of the Transitional Council deems necessary to the membership of the Council of Advisors in accordance with the interest of the Council’s work.

Article 5 stipulates that the tasks and competencies of the Council, its administrative body and its committees shall be determined in accordance with the internal bylaws regulating its work and issued by the Council’s Chairman and in a manner that does not contradict the provisions of the Council’s Articles of Association.

And the last article of it stipulated that this decision be implemented from the date of its issuance, and it should be published in the Official Gazette of the Southern Transitional Council and other media of the Council.
