Press Release Issued by the Meeting of the Administrative Commission of the Southern National Assembly
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Aden – Exclusive [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″][su_dropcap]T[/su_dropcap] he Administrative Commission of the Southern National Assembly held its last regular meeting, headed by Dr. Anis Lockman, Deputy Chairman of the Southern National Assembly, for 2018 from 1 to 3 January 2019, while General Ahmed Said Ben Brik, Chairman of the Southern National Assembly headed the final session.
The meeting discussed recent political developments and Stockholm consultations about the so-called Yemeni crisis and its reflections on the southern cause in addition to internal and external political movements of the southern transitional council to achieve the southern people’s expectations. The meeting also discussed economic and social situations included in the reports on its agenda. Furthermore, the meeting extensively discussed 2018 plan and budget and suggestions of 2019 plan and budget. The meeting asserts the following:
Internal and external political work of the southern transitional council should be improved in addition to continuing the southern dialogue to line up the south in the face of political challenges and prepare for upcoming stage.
Preparations for the second regular round of the southern national assembly should start as the second round will be held next February in Al-Makla – Hadhramaut.
The evaluation report of the plan and budget should be enhanced to be filed to the second regular round and the extensive meeting of associations of the southern transitional council to be held soon.
Anti-corruption efforts of the southern transitional council should be improved and the responsible commission is to file its full analytical report to the upcoming regular round of the southern national assembly.
