Press Statement by Southern Transitional Council about its position of the Saudi peace initiative

The Southern Transitional Council, on Friday, issued a press statement regarding the peace initiative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, hereunder it is:
The Southern Transitional Council (STC) reiterates its welcoming position on the Saudi peace initiative announced in March 2021 within the framework of its unwavering support for all peace endeavours, and appreciates the keenness and efforts of the Arab coalition countries led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to establish lasting peace and maintain stability in the South and Yemen.

The STC takes this opportunity to reaffirm its keenness to reach a comprehensive, inclusive, and sustainable political process with a precondition-free dialogue to ensure that all issues are addressed and resolved, at the forefront of which is the cause of the people of the South and developing a special negotiating framework to resolve it as a basis for starting peace efforts and commitment to the provisions of the Riyadh Agreement and the outcomes of the GCC Consultations.
