Press Statement of General Department of Foreign Affairs in Southern Transitional Council
The Member of the Southern Transitional Council Presidency Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi affirmed that the fall of the Brotherhood’s authority in Socotra is a settled matter, noting that the kidnapping, torturing and assassination points did not appear in Socotra except during the period of the Brotherhood governor Ramzi Mahrous.
He said on “Twitter”: “Socotra, in peace, did not know points of interruption, kidnapping, torturing and assassination except in the time of the Muslim Brotherhood governor Ramzi Mahrous.”
Al-Awlaqi added: “The case of the kidnapped and detainees in Socotra who were liberated by the southern forces reveals the Brotherhood’s terrorism, a method they use in Shabwa as well. Their resounding fall is a settled matter, and they have no power over the people.
