Prime Minister reviews work discipline and monitoring of workflow during visit to Ministry of Civil Service

Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, during his visit on Sunday, to the Ministry of Civil Service and Insurance, reviewed the level of work discipline on the first day of official work following the Eid al-Fitr holiday. He also reviewed the tasks undertaken by the Ministry to monitor workflow and work discipline in the state’s administrative apparatus at both the central and local levels.

The Prime Minister was received upon his arrival by the Minister of Civil Service and Insurance, Dr. Abdul Nasser Al-Wali, and a number of ministry leaders, who briefed him on initial indicators regarding the level of discipline based on reports from field inspection teams and ministry offices at the central and local levels. He noted the efforts made by the Ministry of Civil Service and Insurance to monitor work discipline in all administrative units at both the central and local levels, and the importance of this monitoring continuing throughout the year.

Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak exchanged Eid al-Fitr greetings with the ministry’s leadership and employees, conveying to them the greetings of His Excellency the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, and the members of the Council. He checked on the progress of work and urged them to redouble their performance and efforts during these exceptional circumstances. He emphasized the ministry’s pivotal role in implementing the comprehensive reform process across state institutions, launched by the government and encompassing five pillars: institutional restructuring, wage and salary reform, employment policy reform, capacity building, automation, and digital transformation.

Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak met with the Minister of Civil Service and Insurance, where they discussed the ministry’s efforts to monitor job discipline and regular workflow in state administrative units at the central and local levels, as well as the progress of administrative reforms.

The Prime Minister reviewed the implementation of his directives to issue and disburse annual bonuses to state employees based on years of service and to grant them all due settlements, as part of efforts to improve the conditions of state employees and public service units at the central and local levels.

In this regard, the Minister of Civil Service and Social Insurance explained that a core team has been formed to complete tasks related to bonuses and settlements, based on the Prime Minister’s directives. The team and its supporting teams will complete the tasks within a month. He also noted the formation of a working group to review the regulations and systems governing wage structures.

The Prime Minister affirmed the government’s support for the Ministry of Civil Service in carrying out its duties and responsibilities, implementing laws, regulations, and administrative bylaws, restoring public service, and addressing functional imbalances.
