Provided by President Al-Zubaidi… Supreme Committee for Relief in STC launches distribution of food baskets to needy families in all governorates of the South

The Supreme Committee for Relief and Humanitarian Action of the Southern Transitional Council “STC”, on Tuesday, launched the distribution of food baskets to poor and needy families in all governorates of the South, provided by President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council.

At the launchng, Eng. Adnan Al-Kaf, member of the Presidency of STC, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Relief, delivered a speech in which he indicated that this initiative comes at a time that many southern families live in difficult situation, in conjunction with the difficult economic conditions the country is going through and the increase of prices, noting that this initiative came in implementation of the directives of President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, and it includes the distribution of 54,000 food baskets targeting needy and poor families in all governorates of the South.

For her part, Attorney Niran Souqi, member of the Presidency of STC, Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly, affirmed that this generous gesture from President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi is not new by him, and it was preceded by distribution of food baskets to the families of the martyrs a few days ago, in order to alleviate the suffering of people in light of the bad economic conditions in the country, stressing that STC devotes as much efforts as possible towards citizens of the South.

Launching the distribution was attended by Mr. Essam Abdo, acting head of the executive body of the STC in Aden the capital, and Mr. Osama bin Brik, head of the Martyrs and Wounded Department in the General Secretariat of STC Presidency, and Mazen al-Baghdadi, head of the relief committee of STC in the capital, Aden.
