SMA NEWS – RIYADH
Mr. Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, Chairman of the Consultation and Reconciliation Committee, head of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council, on Monday, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, received the British Ambassador to our country, Richard Oppenheim, to discuss the role of the international community in confronting Houthi intransigence.
The meeting dealt with the repercussions of the Iranian-backed Houthi militia’s refusal to extend the humanitarian truce, despite the positive response to the UN envoy’s proposal.
Al-Ghaithi expressed the support of the Committee for the Presidential Leadership Council, and the achievement of responsible national consensus to confront the current challenges, stressing the presentation of a comprehensive framework for the political process on the legitimate rights of all parties in the south and north.
