Report of STC Executive in Hadramout exposes violations of first military region forces

The executive body of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Hadramout, on Sunday, discussed developments in the southern political arena, and the difficult economic conditions in Hadramout and the South in general.
The Acting Head of the executive body of STC in Hadramout, Ali Saleh Al-Hamimi, pointed to the demand of the Governor of Hadramout Mabkhout, Mubarak bin Madi, to remove the first military zone under the control of the terrorist Brotherhood militia from Wadi Hadramout.
In the meeting, Al-Hamimi said that the governor’s calls were well received by the people of the province, with their various intellectual and political affiliations, except for those associated with the forces of Sana’a, calling on the local authority to work on improving services and developing the electricity system before the summer season.
He stressed combating corruption, activating the oversight and accountability apparatus, and taking strict measures against those who tamper with state lands and public outlets.
The meeting dealt with the report of the Department of Rights and Freedoms, on the department’s activities during the past year and its most prominent achievements in the field of follow-up and monitoring of human rights and freedoms conditions in the governorate.
The report revealed the most prominent violations of the forces of the First Military Region, against peaceful demonstrators demanding their departure, and their prevention of peaceful activities in various cities of Wadi Hadramout.
