Representative of Transitional Council Foreign Affairs meets French deputy ambassador to Yemen
The representative of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council, met on Tuesday, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with Christophe Katsian, Deputy French Ambassador to Yemen.
Al-Shabhi presented to Mr. Catsian, who joined the French mission recently, detailed explanation on the southern issue and the efforts made by the Southern Transitional Council to implement the Riyadh Agreement.
The meeting discussed developments in the recent political situation in the south in light of the Riyadh Agreement and its impact on peace process to achieve security and development in the south, and ways of uniting efforts to confront the common enemy.
Al-Shabhi pointed on to the importance of the efforts and role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to ensure implementing the Riyadh Agreement, stressing on the keenness of the Transitional Council leadership to implement the agreement and not to allow any obstacles or parties to obstruct the Agreement its terms.
For his part, Mr. Katsayan expressed appreciation to the representative of the Transitional Council Foreign Affairs for the good reception, and for the adequate explanation provided by him, stressing on his country’s support for all efforts exerted to bring peace, and the importance of following up the communication between the two sides.
