Secretary-General Reviews Ongoing Work for SJMMC

The Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, Minister of State and Governor of the capital, Aden, met in his office on Sunday with the Preparatory Committee for the Southern Journalists and Media Members Conference (SJMMC).
Mr. Lamlas listened, from Dr. Abdullah Al-Haw, Head of the Preparatory Committee for the SJMMC to a satisfied explanation of the mechanisms of the ongoing arrangements and preparations for holding the conference, starting from the idea through a series of procedures and discussions that took place, including the founding meeting, the election of the Preparatory Committee, and the holding of consultative meetings in the governorates of the South that reached this meeting, in addition to the action plan of the next phase.
The meeting stressed the importance of continuing work to hold the consultative meeting for SJMMC in the capital, Aden, and the culmination of efforts by holding the first conference for southern journalists and media members, aimed at creating a union to include southern journalists and media members and unify the southern media ranks under one umbrella.
