Security seizes terrorist cell targeted head of military operations with car bomb in Mualla district of Aden the capital

The security services in the capital, Aden, achieved an important security success after tracking down and seizing a terrorist cell linked to Al-Qaeda and Al-Houthi, which was behind terrorist attack last May.
The confessions of the cell members that carried out the operation targeted the head of military operations in the Fourth Military Zone, Major General Saleh Ali Al-Yafei, with a car bomb in Al-Mualla district, in Aden the capital, provided new evidence of joint coordination between the terrorist organizations and the Houthis.
The terrorist cell seized by the anti-terrorist units consisted of 3 criminal elements, including a woman, in addition to the master planner of the terrorist operation, the fugitive.
According to the visual evidence and confessions of the seized elements broadcast by the Anti-Terrorism Unit in Aden the capital, the one who carried out the terrorist operation was “Mohammed Ahmed Yahya Al-Maisari”, a former officer linked to the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda and acting as a proxy for the Houthis.
The main perpetrator of the terrorist operation admitted in the recording that he had previously participated with another cell in the horrific operation that the Houthi militia implicitly adopted and overthrew the commander of the Al-Anad military base, Major General Thabet Jawas, last March.
In a brief statement, the counter-terrorism units led by Major General Shallal Shaye confirmed that they had succeeded in seizing the terrorist cell that was behind the assassination of Major General Thabet Jawas and his companions in Lahj governorate.
