Senior Advisor to United Nations Envoy meets members of Postgraduate Alumni Network from Women’s Center at University of Aden

The senior advisor to the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to Yemen, Zahraa Lenqi, met with the Director of the Women’s Center for Research and Training, Dr. Hoda Ali Alawi, and members of the network of postgraduate graduates from the Center and all its affiliates.
The meeting came as part of the program of Ms. Zahraa’s visit to our country. During the meeting, in which Dr. Hoda Ali Alawi provided a brief overview of the activities of The Women’s Center for Research and Training and projects that were implemented by members of the Feminist Postgraduate Graduates Network to empower women and promote gender equality, security and peace.
During her speech, Dr. Hoda stressed the necessity of integrating women in all fields and the importance of their participation in the peace negotiations led by the United Nations in our country.
In the meeting, the senior advisor to the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, listened to all the proposals and observations presented by the members of the network and all the Center’s employees, which focused on the need to provide the necessary support for the National Plan for Women, Security and Peace, praising the role of the Women’s Center in promoting comprehensive and just peace.
