Sessions of the consultative meeting of southern political components continued for second day

The sessions of the consultative meeting of the southern political components and parties and civil society organizations, on Friday, continued for the second day, in the capital, Aden, in which the consultative meeting is to be held during 4 – 7 May, under the auspices of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council, under the slogan “For a new south that embodies the aspirations of the people of the South for independence and the restoration of the independent federal state of the South”
In the sessions of the second day of the meeting, Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Hajj, head of the internal southern national dialogue team, delivered a brief speech in which he stressed the importance of all participants to understand the great national mission entrusted to them in this meeting, and that everyone should have a spirit of responsibility and full awareness, in a manner that meets the aspirations and demands of the people of the South, and achieve its goal of restoring the independent southern federal state.
In the sessions, the agenda of the consultative meeting was read and approved, in addition to reading the report of the Southern National Dialogue Team, which contained the team’s activity during the previous period of its dialogue with all southern political components at home and abroad through bilateral and expanded public meetings, panel discussions and workshops to build relations on the basis of Solid intellectual and political unity of the southern row.
During the meeting, committees were also formed to reformulate the draft documents submitted to the meeting after putting notes on them, in addition to forming committees that will work on drafting the Southern National Charter and drafting the basic directions for the project of the State of the South, and the Committee on the Foundations and Principles of Negotiation.
The meeting discussed many observations and proposals made by the delegates, which in their entirety expressed everyone’s keenness to come up with an objective and scientific vision of the contents of building the independent southern federal state in a way that preserves the national identity of our southern people and the rights and future of its generations in light of a free and dignified economic and social life.
