Shabwa Elites Sweeps Wadi Rafd – a Stronghold of Al-Qaeda in Abian

A source in Shabwa Elites indicated that Wadi Rafd is a stronghold for Al-Qaeda terrorists for a long time and is considered the third most dangerous area after Al-Houta and Al-Saeed, where terrorists prepare and launch their attacks against innocent civilians. He added that the forces managed to arrest several terrorists and is now chasing the rest of them to clear the whole area. Wadi Rafd is famous for its rough topography that allow terrorists to use it as den for hiding. Since the so-called Yemeni union, no other military troops managed to enter that area. Shabwa Elites troops managed to break into the most important strongholds of Al-Qaeda in Hautat Al-Fakeeh – Maifaa, Wadi Al-Saeed and Al-Musainea. Today, the troops managed to break into Wadi Rafd in a continuous war against terrorist groups in Shabwa.
