[su_label type=”info”]Aden – SAMA News [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″][su_label type=”info”]Amman – SMA – PIC[/su_label][/su_spacer] Head of media office of the Southern Transitive Council, Lofy Shatara said: “the general assembly of the council will meet in Adan in a few days”, in an official statement concerning the return of the leadership. In a discussion forum for the public opinion questionnaire about the transitive council, Shatara said that the council will meet in Adan with all its leaders before October 14th. He also indicated that during the upcoming meetings, the national assembly that will be considered as a southern parliament will be formed and each governorate will finish the formation of its council. In addition, there will be talks for general understanding of all political components.
Shatara indicated that “our doors are open to all and there is a committee under leadership of Sheikh Saleh Ben Farid for meeting with all southern political forces as the council is not limited to one zone or one political component”. He also felt sorry for those who talk about the territorial nature of the council as there are five departments of the council in Adan and no one talks about them. He also indicated that those who are trying to rise territorial conflicts through saying that the council is from Al-Dalea or Abian or any other territory are the same people who were defeated in 2015 war. He also added that the Reform Party, the Conference Party and coup forces did not manage to defeat the south in war and this led them to rise territorial conflicts again.
Shatara thanked Adan Center for Strategic Research for its efforts in initiating the public opinion questionnaire and said that its results and conclusions will be used by political leadership to fulfill the people’s expectations. He also asserted the importance of such questionnaires as they are very useful for council and international organizations as well. He also said that UN is convinced by the fact that there are two states one in the north and the other in the south and this led UN to prepare for opening a special office for its delegate in Adan. He indicated that this is a true understanding for what is happening in the south and this will help all parties to make the correct decision.
