Signing a Memorandum of Understanding in the Field of Fisheries with Russia

Salem Al-Soqatri, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries, signed on Wednesday, with the head of the Russian Federal Agency for Fisheries, Shestakov Ilya Vasilievich, a bilateral memorandum of understanding in the field of fisheries.
The signing took place in the Russian city of St. Petersburg, on the sidelines of the activities of the International Fishing Industry Forum, and the Fishing Industry, Seafood and Technology Exhibition in the Russian city of St. Petersburg.
The Minister, Al-Soqatri, stressed the depth of historical relations between the two countries, pointing to the importance of the memorandum of understanding in creating a partnership between the two sides.
In turn, the head of the Russian Federal Agency for Fisheries expressed his country’s keenness to create new horizons for economic cooperation, stressing the exchange of expertise to conduct studies in Russian institutes and universities, and develop fisheries.
