The militias hysterically tried to resume control over the camp at 12:00 am on Friday but southern armed forces blocked the attack and fights continued till 4:00 am lead the militias to retreat to former posts.
In phone call with the media center of Al-Dhala’a front, colonel Mohamed Ali Said, commander of the first battalion at the seventh brigade commandos, indicated that the militias tried to attack from three directions: north, north east and north west of the camp with extensive fire of heavy and medium range weapons towards Subaira but all their tries went in vain.
“Southern armed forces blocked the attack bravely and forced Al-Houthi militias to retreat after suffering severe loses as some of their dead bodies are still below the camp and they couldn’t retrieve them till now” colonel Said added.
It is noteworthy that Al-Gub camp was a major station of Al-Houthi militias since the start of Al-Dhala’a confrontations and southern armed forces managed to control it last Tuesday.
