Southern community demonstrates in Netherlands to support southern popular movement

SMA NEWS – DEN HAAG

Members of the southern community, on Saturday, gathered in the vicinity of the Dutch parliament in Den Haag of the Netherlands, in solidarity with the victims of the Yemeni occupation in the South.

During the mass sit-in, the demonstrators chanted slogans in support of the popular movement in Shabwa against the plans of the Brotherhood’s anti-Southern organization, denouncing the targeting of the cause of the people of the South and their historical right to restore their state in full sovereignty.

They called on the countries of the European Union to intervene to end the war and establish a comprehensive and just peace, and to ensure the participation of the actors on the ground at the dialogue table under international sponsorship.

They raised banners calling for respect for the right of the people in the South to self-determination, to restore their homeland, and to build their independent federal state on the borders of before May 1990.

The demonstrators warned of the repercussions of prolonging the war and conflict in Yemen, stressing that it serves the merchants of wars and crises, while the innocent are suffering of hunger and fear for the absence of the most basic necessities of life and the lack of freedoms and rights.

During the demonstration, the participants expressed rejection of any attempt to break the will of the people of the South with the policies of starvation or divert the compass of the battle from confronting the Iranian-backed Houthi militia to the liberated South.
