Southern forces enter the largest stronghold of terrorist groups in Al-Mahfad of Abyan

The spokesman for the Southern Armed Forces, Lt. Col. Mohammed al-Naqib, confirmed that the southern forces were able to enter Wadi al-Khayala, which is the largest stronghold of terrorist groups in Al-Mahfad district of Abyan governorate.
al-Naqib said on his Twitter account: “Within the framework of completing their tasks in the war against terrorism and completely eliminating its elements, our southern forces’ units represented by the Security Belt, backed by the First Brigade, carried out a qualitative security operation and were able to enter Wadi Al-Khayala, south of Al-Mahfad District in Abyan.”
he added in another tweet: “In the scene of the operation, as a result of the tasks of controlling and cleansing the area by our southern armed forces, three of our forces’ commandos received the honor of martyrdom, in addition to others got injured, and the process of cleansing the valley from terrorist elements is still going on until now.”
He pointed out: “It is worth noting that Wadi Al-Khayala is one of the largest strongholds of terrorist elements, and they have taken it as a way to escape since it was defeated from the center of Al-Mahfad District by the Southern Armed Forces.”
