Southern Journalists Syndicate discusses completion of its institutional structures

The Administrative Committee of the Executive Office of the Southern Journalists and Media members Syndicate, during its meeting on Tuesday, in the capital, Aden, reviewed a number of organizational issues.
The meeting, which was chaired by Captain Aidaroos Bahashwan, head of the syndicate, discussed efforts to complete the union’s institutional structures, both leadership and subsidiary, in addition to its activities plan for the next stage.
Captain Bahashwan stressed the need for everyone to unite to accomplish the founding organizational tasks for the strength and structure of the syndicate and to form departments working in the executive office after completing the legal procedures to obtain a license for the syndicate’s work from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
The meeting discussed the progress of the procedures for establishing the councils of the syndicate’s branches in the governorates of the South, approving the draft electronic form for requesting candidacy for the syndicate’s membership, forming a membership registration committee, and launching the syndicate’s electronic platforms, especially its website.
The meeting also discussed the preparation of plans for operating departments, including aspects of developing the capabilities and skills of young media members to keep pace with developments in the world of new media, and communications submitted by journalists to the Syndicate with cases before the Press and Publication Prosecution.
The meeting confirmed the solidarity of the Southern Journalists and Media members Syndicate with journalists within the framework of commitment to the professional mission and social responsibility.
