Ben Doghr caceled the marsh via his face book account saying that he will never allow bloodshed. He added that some parties think that our celebration of the 50th anniversary of independence is a problem… so be it and all armed forces are to stand down.
Abu Hammam Al-Yafeay, a prominent resistance leader, in a press release, indicated that the southern resistance will never allow a military marsh under the flag of Yemen no matter the costs are. He added that provocative acts of the government are not acceptable in the south, especially with all sacrifices of the southern resistance on all fronts.
Violent armed clashes broke this morning between the southern resistance and elements of the presidential guards who tried to open the way by force using mortar shells to attack resistance posts in Al-Bereka Bridge causing damages and killing several civilians. Clashes are still continuing till that moment so that Ben Doghr can inter Salah El-Din through the bridge. On the other hand, Al-Sobaiha tribes deployed along Al-Waha – Ras Omran line to deny Ben Doghr’s troops any access to the city.
