Al-Houthi militias used citizens of these villages as human shields during their retreat after being severly defeated in Al-Khoukha. Citizens of these villages received the southern resistance forces with joy and rejoicing. UAE Red Crescent sent an urgent aids convoy with food and medical supplies these villages to decrease their suffering because of Al-Houthi siege. The UAE Red Crescent couldn’t reach everyone because of landmines implanted by Al-Houthi militias in the parameters and streets of these villages. It is noteworthy that, according to UN human rights, human aid, food and medicine organizations, these villages suffered famine recently as they are considered among the poorest villages.
