Southern security commander survives assassination attempt in Abyan

Battalion commander in the Special Forces led by Major General Fadl Ba’esh survived an assassination attempt on Aden-Abyan main line in the Al-Koud area of Abyan.

Unidentified gunmen attempted to assassinate him when he passed the main line in al-Koud area, but he miraculously escaped and was unharmed.

This assassination attempt is the second within hours that targeted members of the southern forces by unidentified gunmen after an attempt to assassinate a soldier from the 12th Brigade Saiqa in Zanzibar this evening.
