Southern Transitional Council bodies hold their extended annual meeting

The Southern Transitional Council bodies, on Tuesday, held their extended annual meeting, under the slogan “to strengthen, develop and advance organizational and institutional work”, headed by Mr. Fadl Mohammed Al-Jaadi, the Deputy Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, and in the presence of Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, member of the Presidency, Official Spokesperson of the Transitional Council, Chairman of the National Southern Media Authority, and Mr. Saeed Saadan, member of the Presidency of the Council.
At the meeting, Mr. Fadl Al-Jaadi delivered a speech at the beginning of the meeting, conveying to the attendees the greetings of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council, noting that holding this meeting aimed at evaluating the institutional and organizational work in the various bodies of the Council, developing performance in them, and improving their effectiveness and organizational behavior.
In his speech, Al-Jaadi stressed that the establishment of the central and local Southern Transitional Council bodies deployed in the governorates of the South and its districts came in order to play important national roles at all levels to achieve the aspirations of the people of the South and restore their state and institutions; for this reason, the Transitional Council focused on its organizational structure and the formation of its various bodies, and its presence has become active in all cities and regions of the South.
Al-Jaadi added: “The presence of the Transitional Council on the regional and international scene, its political movements during the year 2021, and its sincere representation of the people of the South and their cause, made everyone recognize it and its presence, among the opponents before friends, and took into account the importance of the Transitional Council being a true partner in the most prominent issues in the country, including combating terrorism, and protection of international shipping lanes, and participation in the political process and final solution negotiations.”
Al-Jaadi stressed that this meeting reflects the institutional behavior that the Southern Transitional Council works on and seeks to strengthen every year, wishing at the conclusion of his speech success for this meeting and its recommendations.
Ali Al-Kathiri also spoke at the meeting, in which he presented an explanation of the progress of the negotiation process that the Transitional Council is going through with the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and ambassadors and representatives of foreign countries on the security, military, political and services conditions in the South.
Al-Kathiri indicated that the Transitional Council will continue its negotiating efforts to implement the remaining provisions of the Riyadh Agreement by restructuring the Central Bank, changing the governors and security directors in the rest of the governorates, and transferring the military forces which are in Hadhramout valley and Al-Mahra to the fighting frontlines to confront the Houthi militia, and stopping the unilateral movements, decisions, and practices and violations that are carried out by parties that control the decisions of the Yemeni presidency and work to disrupt the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement.
After that, Mohsen Abd, Deputy Head of the Organizational Department in the General Secretariat, delivered a brief explanation of the objectives of the meeting, including the level of implementation of activities and initiatives and the extent to which the Transitional Council’s strategic objectives were achieved politically and economically, as well as the most prominent difficulties and challenges faced by the bodies of the Council to implement their plans and recommendations and solutions to be overcome when implementing their plan during the current year 2022.
At the end of the meeting, many organizational and administrative aspects of the bodies of the Southern Transitional Council and their work plans for the current year were discussed, and proposals were put in place to address the difficulties and challenges facing the Transitional Council’s central and local bodies in the governorates of the South.
