Southern Transitional Council Continues Consultations with Southern Political Parties and Components with a Meeting with the Southern Democratic Coalition
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Aden – Exclusive [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] General Ahmed Said Ben Brik, chairman of the southern national assembly and head of dialogue commission with political parties and components in the southern transitional council, met representatives of the Southern Democratic Coalition on Wednesday October 24th, 2018 with attendance of brigadier Nasser Al-Saadi, member of the council’s presidency.
The meeting is part of consultative meetings called for by president Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, president of the southern transitional council. During the meeting Ben Brik indicated that the council is seeking to unify southern political discourse for negotiation on all levels to restore the southern state. He demanded all political powers in the south to unify their goal and respond to the call of president Al-Zubaidi for southern/southern dialogue. He added that the council is open for all social and political components and parties in the south with the purpose of expanding partnership with all national powers without marginalization to any of them as a step towards forming a consultative association.
In turn, representatives of the Southern Democratic Coalition appreciated the call of the council for such meetings and asserted their support to the council since its establishment to October 3rd statement. They indicated that exchanging ideas and suggestions is possible and necessary for crystalizing the vision towards the desired goal.
