Southern Transitional Council in Aden sponsors a memorandum of understanding to support women’s empowerment

The local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in the capital, Aden, on Tuesday, sponsored the signing of a memorandum of understanding with a group of southern women leaders.
The memorandum came to coordinate efforts and enhance cooperation between various southern organizations and bodies concerned with the issue of empowering women to participate in decision-making.
The local leadership of the Transitional Council is keen to support and empower southern women as a top priority at the crucial stage, and to provide all means and mechanisms that contribute to strengthening their role as an essential partner in building the future of the south.
The leaders of the women’s unions expressed their welcome of the initiative, and their commitment to enhancing cooperation and coordination between the various components of southern society to serve the higher interest of the nation and its people.
