Southern Transitional Council of Abian Holds its First Meeting and Discusses the General Report and Future Plan
[su_label type=”info”]SMA News – Zanzibar – Abian – Exclusive [/su_label][su_spacer size=”10″] Under the slogan of “Towards Liberation, Freedom and Building a New Southern Federal Independent State”, local leadership of the southern transitional council in Abian held its first meeting on Wednesday August 15th, 2018. The meeting, headed by brigadier Aidarous Hukais, chairman of local leadership, and attended by vice chairman Mohsen Eid Said, discussed several issues including the general report, the council’s future plan and final statement.
Brigadier Hukais asserted the importance of this meeting as it is the first to be held after the establishment meeting in January 2018, in addition to holding the meeting under critical conditions as the council, headed by General Aidarous Al-Zubaidi took major regional and international steps and held talks with historic leaderships of the south to support disengagement and restoration of the southern state.
The general report indicated the importance of southern talks and steps taken towards establishing several commissions including secretary, services and media commissions in addition to suggestions of members.
The meeting also discussed the plan for the third quarter of 2018 including activities and arrangements for all directorates to hold workshops, seminars and other events.
The meeting also discussed the complications of the political scene and consequences of war since Abian fell in the hands of Al-Qaeda in 2011, the second invasion in 2015 and the consequences of all this represented in poor services of electricity, health care, education, and others, in addition to high prices of fuel and foods. The meeting called local authorities of Abian to reform such miss and enact a news policy to activate real partnership and justice among directorates. The statement asserted that local leadership of the council will help and support all correct measures that serve the governorate.
