Special forces of Brotherhood militia suppress peaceful demonstration in Ataq

The special forces affiliated with the Islah Brotherhood’s leader, Lakab al-Shareef, suppressed, on Saturday a mass demonstration in the city of Ataq, in the governorate of Shabwa.

The Special Forces attacked demonstrators sticks and rifle butts after organizing a demonstration demanding payment of salaries and improvement of services.

The Special Forces were widely deployed and dispersed the demonstrators, in addition to tearing down the banners and preventing any gathering in the capital Ataq.

Activists from Shabwa called for a demonstration in the provincial capital to demand payment of citizens’ salaries and improvement of services.
