Spokesman for Abyan axis confirms the southern forces thwarted Brotherhood’s militia attempt to advance
The spokesman for Abyan axis, spokesman for the fourth military region, Captain / Mohammed Al-Naqeeb, said on Tuesday that: “The Brotherhood’s terrorist militias have launched firing with various heavy and medium weapons on the positions of the southern armed forces.”
Al-Naqeeb added that the militias aimed by that fire shooting cover to carry out an attack, but our southern armed forces, and through its highly prepared and accurate firearm network, managed to silence the enemy’s fire and break the intentions of the counter attack.
Al-Naqeeb pointed out that the southern forces had broken the third attack by the terrorist Brotherhood militia since the announcement of the ceasefire agreement.
Al-Naqeeb affirmed the commitment of the Southern forces to the truce despite the Brotherhood violations, and he said: “Our forces are committed to the ceasefire agreement upon our firm commitment to the Riyadh agreement and we are keen to succeed, but at the same time we are committed to defend bravely for ourselves and our people against the militias attacking that aim to fail the Riyadh agreement in compliance with Qatari-Turkish goals. ”
The Brotherhood’s militia has continued to violate the ceasefire since its announcement by bombing the southern forces ’sites and strengthening their ranks with the aim of advancing towards the capital Aden.
