STC in Hadhramaut announces: The local authority is unable to address living crises

SMA NEWS – MUKALLA
The head of the Executive Body of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Hadhramaut Governorate, Saeed Ahmed Al-Mohammadi, said during his meeting with a number of political and social figures in Hajar District, on Wednesday, that the district is considered the citadel of the revolutionaries and the cradle of the revolutionaries.

Al-Mohammadi stated there will be a move to change and reject the rampant corruption within state institutions in Hadhramaut, by escalating and organizing protests and mass events, to demand that corrupt officials be held accountable and resources be directed to serve citizens and achieve their legitimate demands to improve services.

He stressed that the local authority in Hadhramaut suffers from a deficiency in combating corruption, pointing to reports confirming mismanagement in many government facilities in the governorate, which confirms the weakness of oversight and legal accountability from the local authority in the governorate.

Al-Mohammadi held the Governor of Hadhramaut responsible for the inability to address urgent challenges and meet the needs of citizens, and the failure to invest available resources to improve public services and achieve development, pointing out that the Hadrami citizen demands improved services and living conditions and does not ask for the impossible.
