STC representative and Russian diplomat discuss peace efforts

Dr. Mohammed Al-Afifi, the representative of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Russia, on Sunday, discussed with Rafael Nikiev, the official in charge of the Yemeni file at the Russian Foreign Ministry, the peace efforts and role of Russia in establishing it.

The two sides discussed the field and political situations, and the positions of the parties to the conflict on the ongoing political process under the auspices of the United Nations.

Dr. Al-Afifi stressed the Transitional Council’s commitment to the political process, and its positive engagement with all initiatives and proposals to achieve the aspirations of the people of the south to restore their legitimate rights.
