STC Secretariat Calls for Activation of COCA and Restructuring SNACC

The General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) called for accelerating the activation of the Central Organization for Control and Auditing (COCA), restructuring the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption (SNACC), and activating its supervisory role to conduct its assigned tasks in monitoring the administrative and financial apparatus and combating corruption.

This came at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Secretariat today, Wednesday, at its headquarters in the capital, Aden, chaired by Mr. Fadhl Mohammed Al-Gaadi, member of the STC’s Presidium and Secretary-General of the General Secretariat.

The meeting of the Secretariat touched on the student’s violent assault on the teacher at Al-Ahdal Secondary School in the capital, Aden, and the repercussions of this violent attack on the educational process and the teachers’ dignity. The General Secretariat called on the relevant authorities to take deterrent measures as per public rights and apply law and order to protect the rights of teachers and the education of generations.

The meeting discussed a report submitted by the Department of Administrative and Finance Affairs, as well as an assessment report on the level of performance of departments of the Secretariat, local authorities in the governorates, and university coordinators submitted by the Organizational Department.

The meeting also touched on a report on the achievements of the activities of the departments of the Secretariat during the past week, in addition to reviewing and approving the minutes of the previous meeting after taking into account the raised remarks.
