STC Secretariat Discusses Political Landscape Report on the Southern National Scene

The General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its regular meeting on Sunday, in the capital, Aden, chaired by Major General Kamal Hamshari, a member of the Presidium of the STC and Acting Secretary-General.
The Secretariat discussed a comprehensive report on the political landscape in the South during the first half of September, as presented by the political department, and included several key topics and issues; foremost among them is the ongoing escalation by the Houthi coup militia on the borders of governorates of the South. In addition to that, the meeting stood before the latest developments regarding the meetings and consultations conducted by the local leadership executive body (LLEB) of the STC in Hadramaut Governorate and the liaison committee. Moreover, the meeting covered the most recent updates on the situation in the remaining governorates of the South.
The meeting focused on the workflow of the Department of Thought and Religious Guidance, and the Department of Youth and Sports, highlighting the salient activities and initiatives undertaken by both departments over the past eight months of 2024.
At the end of its meeting, the Secretariat touched on the weekly activity report of all its departments and the implemented activities during the aforementioned period in various areas of their jurisdictions, in addition to reviewing and approving the minutes of the previous meeting.
