STC’s Council of Advisors Reviews Latest Political Developments and Health Situation in the South

The Administrative Board of the Council of Advisors of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its regular meeting in the capital, Aden, on Tuesday, chaired by Ahmed Al-Rubaizi, Vice Chairman of the Council.
The meeting addressed the most prominent issues in the southern arena, most notably the ongoing preparations for the “Hadhramaut First” event, marking the ninth anniversary of the liberation of the Hadhramaut Coast, which will be held on April 24, 2025. The meeting praised the role of the Hadrami Elite Forces in maintaining security and stability in the governorate.
The meeting discussed the political paper presented by Dr. Saleh Taher, deputy head of the Advisory Committee for Political Affairs, which reviewed several proposals, including framing the Council’s gains and achievements, developing a strategy for rebuilding state institutions, identifying existing hotspots and problems across the southern geography, halting all trends of disintegration and fragmentation, and addressing the issue of the people of the south with all its components.
Dr. Rima Jawad Hamshari, Chair of the Health, Population, and Environment Committee in the Council of Advisors, reviewed the efforts made by the Health Office to combat the spread of fevers in the capital, Aden, stressing that there is no new epidemic, but rather known diseases and fevers transmitted by mosquitoes, such as malaria and dengue fever.
Hamshari called on all relevant environmental stakeholders to make efforts to prevent the further spread of these epidemic diseases, and to work to fill in pools of water and excavations and remove garbage. She emphasized the importance of organizing fogging operations in the districts of the capital, Aden, and providing fogging materials to health authorities.
The Administrative Board concluded its meeting by presenting a number of proposals and recommendations that would contribute to advancing the work of the Council of Advisors and strengthening its role in serving citizens and the nation in various service, educational, and security fields.
