STC’s Foreign Affairs Discusses Setting Plans and Organizational Structure for Promoting Institutional Work

Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Hajj, Director of the General Directorate of Foreign Affairs (GDFA) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), chaired a meeting with GDFA’s advisory team on Wednesday.
The meeting discussed developing plans and putting organizational structure in place to improve the directorate, promote institutional work, and enhance diplomatic relations that ensure an effective response to local, regional, and international developments.
While listening to the interventions raised by the head and members of the team, Dr. Al-Hajj affirmed that the suggestions and remarks raised are of high interest and appreciation both to GDFA and the Southern Political Leadership.
Dr. Al-Hajj underscored that the current phase requires that the team of advisors assume their responsibility and perform the role of reorganizing diplomatic work and contributing to setting and implementing foreign policy in a way that serves the supreme national interests of the southern people.
The meeting called for a comprehensive evaluation of performance and a road map that keeps pace with the developments and challenges of the political process and effectively contributes to fulfilling the aspirations of the people of the South by restoring their independent, federal state of the South.
The meeting reaffirmed that GDFA is looking forward to exerting more efforts to create distinguished relations with brotherly and friendly countries and to enhance coordination and cooperation with international institutions and organizations.
