STC’s General Secretariat Holds Annual Meeting of Departments, Heads of EBLL, and Coordinators at Universities in the Governorates of the South

Under the slogan “Strengthening and Developing Institutional Work of the STC’s Bodies,” the annual meeting of the departments of the General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), the heads of executive bodies of local leadership, and coordinators at universities in the governorates of the South was held on Thursday in the capital, Aden, under the patronage of President Aidaroos bin Qasim Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC.

At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by the members of the STC’s Presidium, Mr. Lotfi Shatara, lawyer Niran Souqi, Eng. Nizar Haitham and Mr. Saeed Saadan, Mr. Fadhl Mohammed Al-Gaadi, member of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), and deputy secretary general delivered a speech in which he welcomed all the attendees, conveying to them greetings of President Aidaroos Qassem Al-Zubaidi.

In his speech, Mr. Al-Gaadi touched on the objectives of the annual meeting, which comes to assess the activities and work of the STC’s bodies and what has been accomplished during the past year 2022, stressing that more efforts will be exerted, like teamwork and a keenness to push too hard to serve the community of the South and its just cause and to confront all hatched conspiracies and futile attempts. At the same time, he underscored that all opinions and remarks will be taken into account, and the STC will do its best to develop, boost, and upgrade the workflow of its bodies to achieve the aspirations of the people of the South.

For his part, Mr. Mohsen Abd, Deputy Head of the Organizational Department of the General Secretariat, expressed his thanks to all the attendees, giving a brief explanation of the organizational scheme, certain points of the institutional workflow, and the practical ways in which the plan of the STC’s bodies must be properly implemented on the ground.

The meeting reviewed the annual evaluation report for the year 2022 on the performance of the departments of the General Secretariat, local leaders, and coordinators at universities in the governorates of the South, in addition to the draft annual plan for 2023, in various aspects and the extent to which it contributed to achieving the strategic goals of the STC’s vision during the current year 2023.
