STC’s Political Commission Holds Periodic Meeting and Reviews Political Developments in the South

SMA NEWS – ADEN THE CAPITAL
The political commission (PC) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting today, Wednesday, in the capital, Aden, chaired by Dr. Khaled Ba-Madhaf, deputy head of the PC, to discuss the latest developments in the political landscape of the South.

The meeting reviewed the political developments at the local, regional, and international levels and their reflection on the cause of the South, underscoring that any political settlement to resolve the situation in Yemen sponsored by the UN and the Arab coalition should take into account the reality on the ground in which the STC has become the hard figure and the active actor in the political equation and peace map.

Likewise, the meeting discussed the latest developments in the southern scene and affirmed support for the steps aimed at combating financial and administrative corruption, working to provide public services, and improving miserable living conditions.

Furthermore, the meeting called on all administrative and other sections involved in the PC to develop annual plans and organizational structures and submit them to the head of the PC. At the same time, the PC highlighted the importance of getting an effective political framework from which all sound political visions can emanate.
