STC’s Presidency Cautions against Attempts to Obstruct the Implementation of al-Riyadh Agreement

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting, on Saturday, chaired by General Major Ben Brik acting in charge of the STC and the chairman of the National Assembly.

At the beginning of the meeting which was attended by several ministers of the STC in the power-sharing government, the Presidency reviewed the latest developments in governorates of the South, emphasizing its condemnation of the Houthi attacks on the Yafe’a front, which resulted in the martyrdom and wounding of a number of heroes of the southern armed forces.

In the context of reviewing the latest developments, the Presidency has cautioned against the attempts and efforts of the Brotherhood Islah Party, and other parties in the legitimacy, to abort al-Riyadh Agreement and obstruct the implementation of its provisions, calling in this regard to the leadership of the Arab coalition and the sponsors of the agreement, to compel the other party to complete the implementation of the terms of the agreement, foremost of which is the transferring of the military forces from the governorates of the South to the fronts of confrontation with the Houthi militia.

In another context, the Presidency has forewarned against the procrastinating of the prime minister of the power-sharing government, and the failure of his government to fulfill its promises to provide the requirements for operating electricity in the capital, Aden, stressing to supplying these operating requirements, unless the options will remain open before the STC and the people of the South.

To the end of the meeting, the Presidency stood before several topics and issues on its agenda and took appropriate measures in such regard.
