STC’s Presidency Demands the Government Supplying Logistics to Security Forces

Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting, on Saturday, chaired by the president Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC.

At the beginning of its meeting, which was attended by several ministers of the STC in the power-sharing government, the presidency of the STC expressed its condemnation and denunciation of the treacherous terrorist car-bombing that targeted the general staff of the Southern Land Forces, Lahj Security Director Major General Saleh Al-Sayed in the middle of the last week, offering its condolences to families of the martyrs who fell in this criminal incident, and praying to Allah the Almighty to bestow His vast mercy and forgiveness on the martyrs and grant a speedy recovery to the injured.

The presidency of the STC lauded the efforts made by the security forces in their various formations to confront the elements of terrorism and extremism, stressing on raising the security readiness and vigilance in all governorates of the South, and in this context, it called on all citizens to cooperate with security service and rapid informing of each security-wanted element, or any suspicious movements aimed at disturbing public tranquility.

In the same context, the presidency, in its meeting, urged the power-sharing government to assume responsibilities in providing logistics support and assistance to the security forces to be able to perform the national tasks and duties in establishing security and stability, and to confront terrorist organizations with efficiency and competence.

The meeting focused on the results of the fifth session of the National Assembly, which was held last week, and the level of achieving the recommendations and resolutions contained in the final statement of the session. In this context, the presidency directed the various committees, departments, bodies and dedicated centers of the STC to work on implementing the recommendations that the National Assembly has reached at its fifth session and working to apply it on the ground.

Likewise, the meeting listened to an analytical report submitted by the Decision-Making Support Center on the latest political, economic, social, military and security developments on the local scene, during the second half of June, and a set of recommendations to be well-handled.

This meeting reviewed the minutes of the expanded gathering chaired by the president Al-Zubaidi, and attended by the members of STC’s presidency, heads of committees, departments, specialized centers and executive bodies in the governorates, included the most prominent discussed-topics as well as the reached resolutions and recommendations.

In a different context, the presidency of the STC expressed its gratitude and appreciation for the immense support provided by the official brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates; the latest of which was the financial pledges to launch projects of development in the capital Aden, and the remaining governorates, recommending the power-sharing government to rapidly complete the response action plan to accommodate and implement those projects.

To the end of this meeting, several topics and issues related to the work of the STC and performance of its certain bodies were discussed, and took the necessary measures in such regard.
