STC’s Presidium: Trying to Exclude the South from Negotiating Path and Reviving Para Reality Initiatives will not be Conducive to Sustainable Solutions

SMA NEWS – ADEN THE CAPITAL
The Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting on Tuesday, chaired by Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Vice President of the STC.

At the beginning of its meeting, the Presidium reviewed the latest military developments on the frontlines with the terrorist Houthi militias and the large-scale mobilization carried out by these militias on various fronts, starting from Shabwa and ending with Karsh, affirming in the context the readiness of the southern armed forces to counter any attacks on the territory of the South and thwart whatever threatens its people.

In the context of dealing with the military and security developments, the Presidium condemned the suspicious attempts targeting the Hadhrami Elite Forces, calling on all the people of Hadramaut to stand by them and thwart all conspiracies being hatched against the Elite Forces with the aim of undermining the great military and security achievements they have fulfilled.

Furthermore, the Presidium stood before the latest developments related to the political process, warning that any attempt to divert the southern path from the negotiating process, or to postpone and bypass the cause of the people of the South, or to revive political initiatives that have been overtaken by the de facto reality that has formed on the ground, will not lead to conducive solutions that end the crisis but rather will complicate it further.

In another context, the Presidium discussed the economic developments and the mechanisms used by the government to implement the requirements for budget support provided by our brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, warning in this regard against attempts to transfer salaries of government employees from the first item in the public budget to the fourth item related to aid and donations because of its negative economic impacts in the mid-to-long term.

To the end of its meeting, the Presidium touched on a range of topics and issues related to the organizational work of the STC’s bodies and took the appropriate measures.
