SMA NEWS – ADEN THE CAPITAL
The General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting on Wednesday in the capital, Aden, chaired by Mr. Fadhl Mohammed Al-Gaadi, member of the Presidium of the STC and deputy secretary general.

At the beginning of the meeting, the attendees stood a tributing mimute to read Al-Fatiha for the soul of the late Omar Salem Qambit, a member of the National Assembly of the STC and head of the Fisheries and Agricultural Cooperative Union of Southern Fishermen, who passed away yesterday, Tuesday, after a life full of serving the homeland.

During its meeting, the Secretariat touched on the statement issued by the meeting of the STC’s Presidium that was held yesterday, Tuesday, and stressed the importance of thwarting the systemic and ill-planned corruption aimed at causing chaos and confusing the public tranquility in the South, destabilizing its security and stability, undermining its national gains, and the ultimate sacrifices of its people through the deterioration of the living situation and basic public services that have exhausted and doubled the suffering of citizens in all the governorates of the South.

The meeting discussed two performance reports, both for “the administrative and financial department, as well as the martyrs and wounded department,” for the first quarter of the year 2023, the most prominent activities that were implemented, and their functionally-oriented coordination with the sub-departments (administrations) in the governorates of the South.

The meeting shed light on the weekly activity report of departments of the General Secretariat, in addition to reviewing and approving the minutes of the previous meeting.
